hi,

is this thread still active?
my fxcm app is VERY slow. it seems to freeze pretty much all the time.
the customer service person did all the normal checks, but still same problem.

is it just me?
I have just 3 charts open. I do not have any heavy processing indicators.
I cant think of any reason why my charts freeze.
(I have normal anti-virus running, and strip down unneccesary apps to streamline my laptop).

any ideas?
has fxcm stopped being a legit broker?

Thanks for the post and happy new year to you. I was out of the office for the holidays and had some issues logging into the forum for a while so my apologies for the delayed reply. I haven't heard of any system issues occurring with the charts along the lines of what you described, and I'm running the multiple charts on my computer without issue. If you don't mind, I'll send you a private message for more details on what's happening and who you spoke with to see if we can get it resolved.

thanks for reply. I have replied privately. no response yet.

I know its not my PC or connection or anything.
I have an MT4 session running InterTrader alongside FXCM. InterTrader is fast and responsive. No glitching and freezing.
So it must be something with the FXCM app.

Could you reply and look to sort this out. thanks.
 
Not having an optimal experience with FXCM!
My US30 chart stopped showing price updates at 12:15pm!
Uploaded pic showing GER30, all good (as good as can be expected for FXCM).
Note, the GER30 is showing up-to-date pricing, US30 is behind.

InterTrader, by comparison, is showing US30 data as ok.

If FXCM dont want my business, why dont they just close my account, and refund my money? :(

Problem solved!!

Closed my account. Just need to wait 5 business days for the money. :)
 
I think I may owe FXCM an apology!
Charts speeded up when I restricted the "Max bars in History" from 512000 to 50000.
And switched off "Enable News". (as per googled search)

Not re-depositing my money though, since the custo-service guy did his best to assert it was my broadband / wifi / network / laptop / brand of shirt / taste in music that was the cause. :)

Just in case similar experience for others on MT4:
