I'm doing some research about stocks, what is your favourite beer?

Many, many thanks!!

snow is the best selling beer (JV between SabMiller and some Chinese company), budweiser is the biggest brand and heineken is the most widely distributed. the only good value "beer" stocks are Ambev and Heineken (Ambev's corporate structure is very complex which may explain why its cheap).

Thanks mate! Yes, Heinekens numbers look impressive in terms of value.

just go easy when 'investing' in beer, otherwise you wake up and this has happened to you

Jason, that's kind of a consideration, in particular with English ales. But I also want to get a feel for consumer sentiment and look whether the companies have presence in emerging economies.

Hotch, yeah i'm aware of their portfolio, but I feel looking for 'fringe' products offers more growth opportunity rather than a large holding co.

Wow, just looked at their portfolio Hotch, never knew it was that extensive. Thanks for the link mate.

In what part of the world would you like to see your fringe companies export expansion?

I particularly like India, South America and Africa, India as a future leader of course and the peripherals due to their cultures.

A lot of breweries export to India.

I think your stumbling block is going to be the size of the company.

I wonder if you would do better to think backwards and first look at which companies are listed on which exchanges.

I guess you are after an AIM or just promoted type of listing?

Then screw down to size of company, products, and export growth.
