My brain just ain't working this afternoon....

Column A - trades in the week
Column B - winners
Column C - losers

Whats the formula to calculate the percentage?

(gonna kick myself when I'm told I know but it just ain't coming to me!)

Sorry jj, that makes no sense to me

15 trades, 13 wins and 2 losses so the perecentage from 100 should be ..... but not sure i got the formula right as I get 0.27!

Could you put it in terms of 15/2*13 or something as math and excel are alien to me!

If you use the % icon on the cell you don't need to multiply by 100.

Excel will automatically convert decimals to percentage.

You can also move the decimal places by clicking on the icon with arrows left and right and two zeros.

Assuming your figures are in the first row in cell D1 you put =B1/A1%
Looking at my Excell sheet it has gone peculiar with numbers along each axis but you can puit the answer in any cell anyway. You are just calculating 13 divided by 15 multiplied by 100

back to basics, its easy just to enter the formula into the cell as:

= (no of winning trades) / (total no of trades)

so if the no of winning trades was in cell A1, and the total number of trades in cell B1, you'd enter into cell C1, say:

=a1/b1

...then format cell C1 by selecting it, then right clicking it, select "format cells", select "percentage" and the required number of dec places

ie dont use any % or + in the formula
