Do not trade with cityindex / finspreads

hi, they have gotten a LOT worse recently
today i placed a trade on usdnok.
they then widenened the spread by 70 points, and then froze the quoted price and claimed they no longer offer that instrument, so i was forced to take a hefty loss
the same happened on usdpln as i traded afterwards

stupidly i traded later on, on cadjpy, they had a spread of 3.. it had been 3 all day as i had monitored it for a good entry
about 1min after i sold cadjpy, they widened the spread to 10... 10! when the spread of usdjpy is only 4...

ofc i rang them up, asking to close my position on the old spread... they said they would let that.. but they would calculate the old spread... from the mid price!! ie, half the spread of 10, and then +3... a spread of 8... when the usdjpy spread is 4, this is crazy still.. the guy on the other end of the phone, the Head of Currencies, apparantly, just could not seem to understand this and maintained its a fair spread, yeah right..

they also last week took 8 days to withdraw the money i asked for (i had made a big profit, i guess that's why they are now doing everything to drive me away...successfully)

on the phone they were very rude as well, suggesting i "take my business elsewhere"... well, im taking their advice

hmmmm........ It is very unbritish for them to say " take your business elsewhere!"
if there is one thing I can proudly say about the Brits is their ettiquette and world class customer service!
Even if they are right - they will say sorry!

I would hazzard a guess that if T2L is not working for another company trying to slate his competition then I would say that due to the fact of losing a bit of money on a trade then had a nice big rant at the poor guy/girl on the other end of the phone. T2L obviously feels very pationate and upset about this incidence due to finding a website to complain to.

I was telling myself, yesterday, that the fill times, stops and orders were split second activated since the new platform came on.

The way they operate, I see no point in me changing to a broker. I don't need anything done any faster.

well no, i actually was successful with finspreads, turning £40k into £100k in the space of 3 weeks so thats not my issue (you may ask, then why complain? - its just because they basically stole 4k off me yesterday and basically told me to go find another broker...no big deal I made the profit back + more from my other new sb company, which also has a LOT more instruments, at better spreads, and no having to wait 1-2 minutes for a fill that is "above size")... I had no problems with finspreads before they changed to the new platform fwiw.. i just thought id post my experience here, it seems like YOU are the one with a vested interest..

well although i've heard bad things about them, im with CMC now... theres not much choice when i refuse to go with companies that force a stop loss, as i tend to let my losers run until reversal, and i dont want to be a victim of stop hunting
