Demo / Proctice trading Account

I am new here and learning by the minute.

I read somewhere on the forum about companies that offer practice traiding account but can not find the thread

I was thinking about startring woith the FTSE 100 as I understand this better. Is this a good place to start or should i start trading somthing else?

Any comments would be gratfully recieved

demo accounts are ok, but what i recommend you to do is to open a real account with the minimum deposit the broker requires(if it is not a financial burden for you and you can afford to lose the money). real trading is totally different from demo trading. emotions drop in. and don't say: oh i can control my emotions. you can't without experience. that is why i recommend opening a real mini account to get used to trading REAL money so you will be prepared psychologically when you open a standard account. in trading a system accounts for 20%, psychology 80 % or something like that, and it is so true. believe me, it comes from personal experience
