DA L2 account opening

HI there, I dont intend to any time soon, but I was wondering what are the prerequisites for opening a L2 direct access account i.e. experience/money.

The reason I am asking is because I was going to open a FX account with cmc but they said that I need to have 6mths experience b4 they will let me open one, so I have to be content with SB for now.
