Today I will remind you, your staking system is flawed.

When you had your 12/1 winner the stake was 1Pt, today you had 10 Pts on a 4/5 loser.

Worth thinking about.

Well said Ken, I made a similar point a while ago : if anyone's not prepared to enter into the spirit of this thread just use the 'Ignore' facility to filter the salty tree hanger and his ilk. That's what I did and I have to say, I don't miss him

If the jockey doesn't know how to ride the horse fast and good enough what good would that do?

Besides, haven't anyone heard of bribing the, well you know, for some clean record that one day may transpire into something sinister, like, well you know, somebody bribed the higher ups, and well you know, somebody bribed the higher higher ups, and well you know.

One day a certificate may turn out to be a nightmare and straight downfall for those who issued and approved that certificate.

Well, you know, some people think nobody will ever know (just because the record says so).

CK's strategy revolves around backing two of the first three in the betting, in handicaps of ten runners or fewer.

This will not make money, but with a 500 point bank, betting to 3 point stakes, it will take him a long, long time to lose it.

A better staking plan could make the bank last longer.

Bluebelle & Deskjockey992 if you cannot see, that staking 1 point on a 12/1 winner & 10 points on a 4/5 loser is a flawed staking plan, then you will be in the poor house before CK.

Something to think about, even----------

Here are some facts about handicap races based on quite a number
of years.


1. Previous winners, finished 2nd, 3rd and 4th - in percentage terms as
follows, between 80 - 85% of winners come from this group.

All others are between 27 - 29%


2. Betting forecast - the first 6 in the b/f have a strike rate of between
55 - 60%

All others = between 25 - 29%


Facts and figures are important to any punter of horse racing as these
facts are essential.

However, it is not simple, far from it.
The wheat still has to be sorted from the chaff, hence finding enough
winners still defeats us.

This is why i have stated in my previous posting that my tips are
based on fun, but should a profit be made along the way we can
look at it as a nice bonus
