not sure if this is an appropriate question to ask at this moment, what i been reading some articles about recent event of down fall of our financial world... and a lot of capital being 'wipe out' and much were to be written off. base on many so called the Basel I, and II accords, seems like none of these actually working.

i have been briefly reading about how great is the risk management and how big guys been putting effort into the system to protect capital and assets. and yet, it is appear that infront of our eyes, most of these are failing.

this might be a zero sum game interms of a single dollar from one place to one play. however, 'people' that invested in 'faith' towards so called the giants financial institutions seems to me that no longer that faithful ...

no doubt this is real complex issue. the fundamental questions that i have here is, how would your advice to those novice investor or so call the small tiny fishes to be not eaten by the big fishes, or even those ill-state big fishes.

i would certainly like to here this advice or guidance even though i might have been told or been come across.... no easy job either.

There are risks in all markets at all times. That is something every trader/investor has to come to terms with from the outset. You can do things to protect yourself, but you can never get rid of the risk entirely. But that's exactly the point. You're taking risk in an attempt to earn above average returns.

keep learning and pay attention becuase what you learn and observe now will become valuable when the same cycle shows it self again in the future.

The whole thing one big fat BS. 'The big guys' get bailed out by the government and they live on borrowed money. It is a big house of cards.
