Old thread indeed but I followed the same path. Implemented a simple NN learning from historic candle close data; result is the same than throwing a coin in the air. 50% success rate; no inference at all on making predictions.

ANNs held a lot of hope and expectations a few years ago but seem to have largely disappeared. Probably have a resurgence should someone make a breakthrough. Meanwhile I think bio-computers may have possibilities to be trained to do better.
Love to know if there is a possibility of growing brain cells in a jar ?
