Hello
Now then.
I'm thinking of buying and holding, possibly for life, a varied range of securities. Obviously this been the case I want my name to appear on the registar so that I get my twice yearly cheque as well as other perks sent directly to me. In addition I like the security knowing that I OWN the shares and not my numpty nominee.
It's very easy to buy UK listed stock and to get them in certificated form, but you can't do this with shares listed abroad. I understand the most important part is not the certificate itself but getting your name on the registar.
I'm at a loss how to do this. Obviously nominee accounts can buy shares from abroad so how do I do what they are doing?
