Hi Traders

Anybody know of any good reliable brokers where I can place spread bets staking £0.20 to £0.50 bets on Indices (DOW, FTSE etc.) and Shares?

Since MF Global Spreads have gone belly up, I've lost a broker which allowed me to bet on these instruments for small stakes. Otherwise I'll have to pass on trades I'd like to take because my account won't stand the risk.

Cheers, Luther

Try ETX capital.

They allow even £0.1 bets on gold.

gkfx (formerly smart live markets) has shares, dow and ftse @ £0.10 minimums, see pdf and check if the share selection are good for you.

partymarkets (is that right? lol) used to have low minimums also, but i think they changed name and went all upmarket and upped the minimums considerably.

finspreads had £0.50 minimums, but their charts were out the ark last i looked. so wouldn't bother looking unless you have your own or don't need charts.

You can try:

Gekko Global Markets: Spread Betting | Forex | CFD | CFD trading | Trading

Good luck :)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction, will take a look at ETX, Fin Spreads & Gekko.

Not too concerned about charting, as have other brokers and software, mainly want a wide range of markets without having to pass on trades because I have to take to a large exposure just to enter the game.

Have looked at GKFX/Smartlive before on the face of it they look ideal, but I have my doubts about the company looking at other threads. But hey who would guessed that MF would have blown up, so maybe I shouldn't worry about first impressions!
