Britain may be in 1960s nose dive

All May can do is hope to hold on for a second term. She will be pushed to resign by her own cabinet, Conservative PM's usually are, and its just a matter of when, not if. Her only "quality" is she's stubborn: or is that just stiff as a plank? She has no voter charisma, no broadly popular policies, no visible moral direction of travel, she's not good with tricky decisions, she hasn't been able to convince her own colleagues to support her. Somewhere she has acquired a high opinion of her own leadership qualities. I bet she'd be a hard-working office manager for a medium-sized regional plastics manufacturer.

Perhaps a condom manufacturer ?

:whistling

May is a Sacrificial Lamb.....she will fall as soon as this Brexit nonsence is resolved one way or the other .....what politician would be foolish enough to step in from either party at moment ?

clear the rubble then a new (et tu) Brute will jump in ......a clean sheet for new leader / party whatever ....and if in doubt blame May and Brexit

nope....her bland safe rigid style would rise her to fairly high levels in most big corporates ....jees ive met too many high ranked executives like this on both sides of the pond......

Another household name for a long time has been Marks & Spencer.
I was appalled at their recent financial statement plus the news the incompetent fools at the top are having to close 100 stores.

So I went into town yesterday and visited their store. On a large ground floor area there was 1 member of staff and NOT a single customer. Looking around at the drab clothing I am not surprised. The Chief Buyer etc, need sacking as quickly as possible before they destroy the company.
Must have colourful, trendy, fashionable clothes not the slate grey and black stuff on show on rack after rack.

M&S are on a long and downward spiral

i was watching an advert the other night ...lots of 20 somethings in relatively safe and bland outfits that confused me in many many ways

aaahh .......then i saw it was a M&S advert targetting this younger group ?

their marketing and strategies are so wrong on so many fronts.... i dont know where to start ? :whistling

no wonder they wont spin off the food ........the rest would have minimal capitalization

The "Peter Principle" applies at all levels.

It is believed that if you used to invest only few amounts in Bit-coin at the very initial phase of its appearance like 7-8 years ago, then the money would now have been billion today. Though such statistics are not proved, it is true that Bit-coin has good potential as a security of course. However, not only BTC, in the last 2/3 years most probably, various crypto currencies are taking good attention from the people.

The Labour Party has shown just how unelectable they really are. The same ole cr*p from the 1960s. A bit like their leader really, Soviet style failed policies.

Their call for a general strike brings back bad memories. How negative can they get ?

They have no "can do" positive policies at all. A bigger waste of resources than the Tories even.

Aye, but there’s a whole bunch of people to be seduced to whom the 1960’s is just a date in history books who have never seen socialism fail despite its theoretical appeal. What goes around comes around and I expect many of those will be crying in the 2080’s “just look at ‘em, same old cr*p from the 2020’s”.

The problem is, who then deserves support if the old has-been parties are failing ?

Let's face it the Liberals aren't exactly putting forward anything remotely interesting or ever likely to MAKE bRITAIN GREAT AGAIN with their lacklustre policies.

Perhaps I am expecting too much from too many useless politicians.
