First 2 trades of the day lost me 40 points (one short one long)

Back to +10 for the day.

I am really enjoying this (some days!) and have a higher winning % than losing at the moment BUT my losses tend to be larger than my winners.

It is SO hard to hold when a profit starts to turn against you - so I bail out with a small win (but tend to hold the losers in hope they will turn)

I am going to work on defining my risk and reward in terms of placing stops and limits but also want to gauge the probability of the move based upon the price action.

price has moved quite far away from red trendline...possibly oversold
rebound to test the trend could be in order
trend test at 2040 area

Do people tend to stop trading the Dax after the official daily close and switch to the Dow?
(I am spread betting-is the spread the only issue?)

I don't know the answer as yet, so I added to have a better average price - it's open till 21:00 or so (with a bigger spread though)

As a general rule...you should trade your chosen markets in their respective sessions.
