What if China says or does something that means its economy is slowing down like devaluing its currency I think that has led to at least a correction before

That would tank the Aussies, for sure. But the FTSE is not so much impacted.
Used to be, Telecoms sector, but they've been blocked from pouring money into that (and their gear ripped out).
& Hong Kong's been reduced to a back office ...

I don't think there's such a thing as strong stocks if it does not sell off in the face of a correction/ crash as much it would be classed as a defensive like a utility but not totally immune from being weakened I think that's what u mean right
