News is to a certain degree irrelevant. You never know how market will interpret a news. Is bad news really bad, if it's not so bad as expected? How do you know, what was expected? And to what degree it was manipulated?

But still, it does affect the market.

So in my book - I know when a big news will be released. But mainly to avoid the hour of release with trades. Or to make sure it can't hurt me. Other than that, dealing with news is in my opinion waste of time.
