Anyone scalping the FTSE Futures??

Hello all

Very tempted to go short this morning but heeded the advice from this board to "never short a dull day". Still can't bring myself to go long at these heady levels.

hello

strong market needs a catalyst to break it. those wanting to short can buy puts very cheaply

the 6525 put with 3 days to expiry costs 23pts better than a stop loss

Opened up a FTSE short here. I expect we'll tank after new high SP either today or tomorrow. I'll take a collapse before then though.

ASX down 2 days now.
Under water to FTSE now for the year.
Only second time in 23 trading days.
FTSE should be around 6,410 to 6,430 to keep pace with the ASX.
Banks under pressure.
Hong Kong just done the big after lunch cliff fall

mornin' all

ftse opened -35 weak vs dow (11 of that down to dividend adjustment though) and is not strengthening yet. Perhaps 8:30 will put a bit of steel in it.

SD can you please advise where to find these - can they be monitored like normal share prices somewhere?

Are they like covered warrants / options in a way?

they can be found on IG index, they are not like covered warrants, in IG index if u find the ftse 6525 put which expires this friday u can add it to your watch-list and monitor the price

ASX now down for 3 days in a row, first time in 2013
Banks and miners taking the hit.
FTSE missed my range high by 5 points yesterday, will try again with same aim.
With the break down we seeing in Asia and AUS.
Looking for these numbers to be hit before the end of March.
ASX 4,933 to 4,967
FTSE 6,258 to 6,291
DOW 13,980 to 14,005

The DOW is the last index now holding back these levels.

With a bounce back in April, then sell in May.
Still think we will see the highs taken out again towards year end on better economic data and improved earnings.

I like your levels for the DOW and FTSE Bustech.
That would bring the SP500 to 1508, I'm hoping to see markets correct to these levels before the end
of March too!
