I was taking a back route home a few nights back from the South West. I decided (bless Sat Nav) to head toward Leighton Buzzard and was then in White Waltham. (No, this isn't a board game). It was tipping it down and getting quite dark, but I passed two unusual buildings and concentrating hard on the road was unable to make a note.

The first was near a place called Piddington (?) - on a high hill a round dome-like structure with possibly a ball object mounted on top of it. Anyone round that area know it?

Then a bit later (can't for the life of me remember where, but it might have been in or near Princes Risborough) but on a road heading toward Aylesbury anyway, to one side of a little roundabout the most fantastic domed, brick church with enormous stained glass windows set in the dome brick work - possibly 12 windows in all, but too dark/wet to see or stop and have a look.

Does this ring any bells (OK, pun sort of intended)?
