As a rule of thumb yes but don't forget that according to the BBC your Broker is your BITCH. So don't expect miracles. This is just a rule of thumb but the bigger the firm (bigger liquidity), the less slippage you find. So much for us getting rid of too big to fail. The government has now given the advantage in all financial services to the big firms.

There are some platforms that guarantee no slippage - IG Index for example. But they charge you an extra 3 pips in every trade, so it can mount up. You may be best just sticking with a bit of slippage. It's part of the risk inherent in the markets, and I'd be very wary of any broker that guarantees no slippage. If they're not covering themselves, it's almost certainly a scam.
I'd like to recommend you Accentforex Destination - profitable trading. Recently I've opened a live STP account with them. They work very good, guarantee No requotes (and it's really so) and also from my own experience I can say that they have no slippages.
A no re-quote broker will always execute your trades at the best possible price, which may not be exactly the same as the price you clicked upon (slippage).
A Market Maker or STP broker that uses a Market Maker as it's liquidity provider will fill your order at the price you clicked upon if they can hedge it and make a profit from the spread. If they can't make a profit from the spread because the market slipped your trade will be rejected and you will experience a re-quote (re-quotes).
Slippage or re-quotes with order execution, you get one or the other, not none and not both. No re-quote brokers article.

No slippage is 100% impossible to guarantee - if a broker promises no slippage, it's not accurate
