Windows Netmeeting

I run Windows XP home and have just realised that i do not have Windows Netmeeting. Is it not included on XP home?

Microsoft took it off of the XP version, as they wanted more people to use MSN messenger
If your looking for internet conferencing calls, then have a look at Skype. It's free and very good

That's what i was thinking (about MSN Messenger)..............
Can Messenger be used to do ALL the tasks that Netmeeting did - including internet conferencing calls and taking control of another persons computer?

Can Netmeeting be run on Windows XP?

If you click Start, point to Programs, point to Accessories, and then click Communications, the Microsoft NetMeeting program is not available on the Communications menu.

This behavior occurs because Setup does not install a shortcut to NetMeeting that can be accessed from the Start menu.

To work around this behavior, manually start NetMeeting: 1. Click Start, and then click Run.
2. In the Open box, type: conf, and then press ENTER.

I think this is for Pro version....not sure about home version....

MSN messenger can host conference calls, but the sound quality can be very poor especially if someone is on a dial-up connection. You can use it for remote assistance, and as long as both people are using broadband it should be fine
Don't try broadband to dial-up. Tried it once, and never again

Your instructions brought Netmeeting to life. Skype may be more advanced though, so i will have a look at that also.
