Consider General Motors it has a lot of potential upside (in $), not too much downside.

That's a very bold statement. How do you know how much downside potential it has? 🙂 either you can read the future or you assume it will go up because it is big company. I would say that at the end of the year, when recovery 'should/could' start, all big names will go up.

To author - wait until recovery...most of the stocks will bounce back...as usual.

I guess it's down to whether you think Obama will bail out a car company yet again or finally let the **** companies die the death they deserve.
