Hi,
I am looking to apply for a junior quant trader at Tribra. I have a maths degree and studied a module in mathematical finance so I know the basics of options, futures, forward contracts, option spreads, pricing strategies etc. I do not however know anything about trading really.
Do I need to know some basics about trading to pass the interviews? What about knowledge of basic quant strategies, algorithms etc? And if so please could you recommend a book or website that will teach me the basics please?
Also, will I need to know things like what has been going on in the financial world in recent weeks, the UK base rate etc? and what is a good magazine/newspaper/website to get this information?
Thanks
