I was wondering what does trader usually do when waiting for a trade to work.
I am a day trader and only put on 1 to 3 trade a day, and the waiting time is just boring. Watching the market too close cause anxiety, step away for too long cause me to miss a trade

Any suggestion for activities that fill the time?

Similar number of trades a day. I am registered with a few topical podcasts, so catch up on these. Or read trading / investment blogs, lulz on t2w. Its been bit easier since I joined in a room online, can ask q's, or just have a social chat.

Trade more markets, play computer games, visit porn sites. Of course, all these will result in missed trades and loosed monies. They do say trading is hard, right ?

I always have Bloomberg on in the background. Plenty of pretty faces, and some interesting financial stuff too.

As for foreign trade, it will take sometime to find customers in foreign countries. There are some things to do: attending trade fair, visiting B2B platforms, visiting e-business platforms, do marketing research or other work.

Why don't you try working on finding different setups. That's what I did and managed to find setups that cover all market conditions.

The typical day trader usually looks like this:

I play online backgammon ! - satisfies my gambler instints and keeps me from just punting the market for a few points!

Do something useful - learn a foreign language, read Aristotle or Milton, whatever. Something improving or productive.

I heartily recommend the Hugo series, very good indeed. Also check out the websites of the major Italian dailies, like Corriere Della Sera and Il Mattino. Lots of stuff to read and plenty of videos to help you get your ear in.
