Volume

I am using sierra charts and have a volume indicator on my chart. What is a decent level? it only ever seems to get as high as 30
Would I aslo be right in saying that between 5 and 7pm not a lot happens? especially in August.

I also have a look at the dow stocks as they are trading through the day to see how many are up & down, does anyone else look at these.

DOW volume is not a good one to look at. You really need to look at S&P 500 futures - ES`U. This will give you a great edge....
