Very Sad News

Eric Waterhouse, afectionately known to many of us as Eric the Viking, is gravely ill.

With approval from the site and the full consent of his family and to help them relieve the pressure of having to repeatedly deal with many callers and proposed visitors, therefore I am posting this announcement to inform members and visitors that any communications with regard to Eric to come via me please via this thread or by PM until further notice.

Personally I don't know the man myself, however, hearing news like this puts everything into perspective.

My thoughts to him and to his family.


This whole Trading thing - we are all so involved in - more respect for each other would'nt be bad.

To those of you who have sent messages and made phone calls during this very fraught few days, many thanks for the kind sentiments you have expressed to me that I have passed on.

I have only just been informed that Eric passed away quietly this very morning. He slipped away quietly and fortunately not in pain. He was riddled with cancer. His physician was with him.

We are all very sad at his demise but grateful he did not suffer.

Funeral arrangements to be announced in due course.

I did not know the man personally, but I have to say I know him thru the kind worda that everyone has said about him. It stinks that the ones we come to love or just enjoy having in our lives are taken from us.

Gonna put his name at the front tonight when I pray-my respect and regrets to his family.

On this day Rememberance Sunday and with particular reference to the march past at the Cenotaph in London which has just ended, Dear Eric, our very dear departed friend, Standard Bearer for the British Legion, you are not forgotten, your memory is cherished and you are sadly missed by all of us who had the honour and the priviledge to have been your friends.
