Any advice you can offer a newbie is much appreciated.
I am considering buying approx £25k in 7 US tech companies for an approx 2 year investment. However, being based in the UK it seems that I'm going to get hit with 1.5% broker fees each way and also at the mercy of exchange rates.
Given current market conditions, potential dollar vs pound fluctuations and the potential costs vs margins on this, do you think this is not a wise move at this point and I'm better off searching for UK stocks (although nothing here seems as appealing!)
