TS2000i development

I understand that tradestation 2000i is no longer under development. Is that corect? Does that not make it a waste of time to buy?

Yes and maybe.
2000i is I think, Tradestation 5. Tradestation 6,7 and now 8 are by subscription only. It was the last version that you could purchase outright. There are outstanding bugs, but it is good enough for many users and doesn't commit you to another monthly expense, and there are workarounds for most of them.
Also,I understand that the current versions of TS still don't have support for many of the 'other' markets, so if you are wanting to trade non-us markets, they might be out of the running.
