The standard TS works OK most of the time for positions already open, but I'd like a means of entering a trade on a trail of about 3-5 pips/points.

It's Smart Live Markets spreadbet MT4. Not sure what you mean, but the idea is to open with a trailed stop and get a better entry if price goes in the wrong direction initially. Doesn't help much if it triggers the order and keeps going in the wrong direction, of course...
I know what you are after. The only way to do a trailing stop currently is to wait for the order to be executed then apply it (remembering that the default values are no use as SLM is to 5dp and the presets assume only 4). I think you are thinking about things back to front. I think the visual order editor you asked about in an earlier thread may be able to do what you ask.

The version i have now has a 'default trailing stop' parameter. The old one has not. if you have the latest version it should do what you want.

Since Alpari added a decimal place, 15 pips has now become 15 pippettes which means you can have a 1.5 pip trailing stop.
Thanks for suggestions. Visual order editor works well, MN. The pipette problem can be overcome to trail a stop with an open trade, but there doesn't seem to be a way of entering a position with an order that trails the price (as you can witha couple of clicks in Dealbook, for instance), unless it's just that I'm not explaining clearly what I mean.
