Hi all,
New to trading. Just read a book by John F. Carter called Mastering the Trade. Highly recommend it. All the strategies are in relation to US markets e.g. mainly mini-Dow (YM) and mini S&P futures (ES) (slightly frustrating as I live in UK). Initial questions arising from the book are as follows and i'd be grateful if anyone could help:
1) When fading gaps, he talks about looking at premarket volume to establish if gap is likely to fill or not. Is there a way to see premarket volume for UK markets? e.g. FTSE 100 index etc?
2) If electronic trading from home and living in UK, do a lot of you guys (UK based) trade US markets such as mini-dow and e-mini S&P futures as well? Sorry if this is a stupid question but I honestly know no-one else who e-trades.
* If you do:
-what software package is best for incorporating both UK and US stocks (including indices) for purposes of technical analysis.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
Many thanks
