Is it worth trading on a US holiday? (bearing in mind that it's Labor Day this coming Monday, 7th Sept)

(My specific interests happen to be FX, Energy, Metals, and government bonds).

Why don't they have their holiday in August like sensible people?

When US has holiday markets are almost dead...at least most of them. You can trade but next day things can reverse when holiday is over,
