Hi Bertie
This may be of interest to me in around 4-5 months time as I am just finishing University at the moment.
I ve been trading for around 2 years mainly indices, stocks and commodities and am considering a career as a trader as I have done well out it so far. A shared office would be preferred rather than doing it from home however for various reasons.
Only other problem is I m based in Glasgow. Its a long way away yet though so can discuss this at another point.
Hope to hear from other traders in Scotland as I haven't seen much talk regarding arcades in Scotland on this site.

keep in touch - there was some guy on here in the past who was talking of setting up an arcade in glasgow but I dont know if anything ever happened about it or not.

I would love to trade full time, but am not as yet (writing software pays the bills a bit more consistently, although after 15 years of this I'm seriously considering a career change, as you can see)
That said, it might be helpful to have a coder about to do strange and exotic things with data and data feeds; who knows?
I need to know a bit more about costs involved. Does anyone have any rough figures?
I would prefer Edinburgh as a location; I did recently enquire about a small office space with a view to setting up my own tiny trading office around St. Andrew Square or Morrison Street, and have been absolutely inundated with requests to sell me and get me to view office space. Accordingly I imagine you should be able to get something pretty competitive, since they really seem desperate to find tenants just now.
