Attempting to install Tradestatiion 2000i on Windows 7. Get charting but no Indicators loaded. Get error message "unable to open Master File" With my VISTA solved a similiar problem by turning of User Control feature when loading. Any help with getting my indicators working using Windows 7 would be appreciated.

can u help me with this problem........ TS2000i loads in windows 7 but .els files are missing...... and in "safe" mode all the files appear and the software is running perfectly fine...... any help appreciated.
Is my understanding correct that this installation is not the XP Mode of Windows 7 ? I have installed TS2000i in this mode and are unhappy with this solution, since TS is the only software on my PC running in XP Mode.
If the answer is yes where can I get the solution? I am prepared to do a new TS installation to get around XP mode since my data provider offers an Win7 solution with is much better then the XP one. I can do an installation on 32 or 64 Bit, insofar I am flexible.

Oh ....... with me ended it up totally different. No Problem with XP mode, some with Win 32 Bit. What is your version? My Version is 5.00.0822. Are there any Win 7 differences in UK und German Version? I think no, since it makes no sense to me.

Today I installed it on my new PC using the proposed installition values with datafeed ESignal selected as data supplier. Then the update of SP 5 to 822 Version. Everything was fine, no problemss.
Then I started the GobalServer. The same happened as last time: Error message: "A critical error has occured in Globalserver, Shutting down" not the start upmenu as normally. When I select XP in compatibility mode, everything was fine and GS open, identical with the installation on the test PC.
Do you made a differnent installation or any variation of that procedure?
Then I changed back to normal mode and deleted all the temp. files on my PC. usind %TEMP% as input that was recommended in other thread because this may cause problems. I reach the Starting window of the GS. Selecting start offline: The same error message but a little bit later but better as my former test installation.

only difference I can see is ESignal. I use Signal (satelite etc.) interface, I think this is a generic DDE. My data flow is Tenfore - Metaserver 3.2 (MetaServer RT 3.2 for Windows DDE) - Global server.
I clean %temp% folder only to install SP5 becouse of "not enough space... error"

Thanks, but a few minutes ago I found the solution with the help of a friend which is a windows specialist.
He told me I may have security conflicts. I may solve this by using "run as administor" when opening the Globelserver. It works perfect, so I made it permanet and also for TS and EL. Opening TS applications cause no longer a problem.
I invited him for a drink this evening. Thanks all.
Amendment from Sunday:
I had some further problems when I imported symbol history and the old Easy langue files to the new version. Not really serious. Here the details:
I had problems with imports with symbols history, just symbol TS was not aware of. A new experience that never happened when switching to a new PC without changing the operating system. I solve this by doing a new time consuming input manually on my new PC. At the end of this process I was ahle to import all history files without any problems.
The second one related to Easy Language. I had numerious addition to this file so I want my old EL file imported.
This failed at first. The reason was that this import has to be done in XP Mode not in Win 7 mode and so I changed my settings back to XP-setting just for this import. The second problem was strange for me on the first gl when I verified it. I was aware of some ELAs I have written by myself (not verified yet) and an import was never a problem. The problem related to a not verified and unused ELAs received as a gift by a friend. Probably he has send me stolen ELAs since I never before had these error messages. I deleted them and everything was fine.
The rest of the work was very easy. It was just normal work for me since there was no further problem to the normal procedures when switching on a new PC.
Now I am really happy and thank you every much since you provided me the assurance that I am on the right way.

after these troubles I tried today to access ESignal in online realtime mode. Under XP this is easily be done - selecting symbol and then connect. However on Win 7 this process failed. The real time status was not connected as usual. Instead it was "Error", a problem I never had.
Is there a solution to solve this new problem? It is obvious not Win 7 specific, because Esignal alone works fine. It seems to have to do with the global server interface. Setting the winros.exe application to ESignal in administrator mode didn't help and I have no further idea how to solve.

Their is no solution, New real time data provider
The solution is as simple as stupid. ESignal no longer support TS2000i is their statement and TS2000i users should use the Win XP mode for running,
I was extremely surprised, because that seems to be a joke. But it itsn't. Its reality, a bitter reality. I don't understand this step since the charting offered by ESignal has the functionally of a cheap chartprogram of 30 Euro beside intraday data handling. They cannot market this solution without third party solution support. However, they may have decided to be an solution for end of day users in the future only.
In practice that means one should forget ESignal as realtime data provider when running TS2000i. My four day test showed that the XP mode has nothing to do with realtime data. I used only 4 Tradingpages for this test in order to see what happen. The ES H1 (SPX Mini Future) had immediately after the US opening of NYSE a delay of 20 minutes in the charts, before that time only when trading volume increased, normally after economic data at 8:30 am, which was only temporary before NYSE opening. After the opening the delay did not change until NYSE close. But the delay of other symbols are not comparible,TIck or EPREM had a delay of 1 to 4 minutes only the whole day. A further time later the bit ask quote monitors and other quote monitors are frozen and received no update at all. Around 2 pm NY time the total application has frozen and changing of the pages were impossible and a restart of the virtual PC environment is necessary. This happened Monday through Thursday this week, when the test were performed. Interestingly was just the fact that no data were lost with this restart of XP mode.
Therefore my new Question, is in this forum a user of TS2000i who run this application in Win7 mode without XP mode? If yes, which company supply the realtime data for the trading. I have to change my data provider and I want to do that immediately since XP mode is just a joke.
Alternatively if there is no solution. Does any user know which trading software I should use in order to rescue my EL additions to the original TS2000i meaning have an interface to my old EL Files?

i solved on my fix pc some year late by installing 7 pro and virtual machine
the problem now is that i buy new lap top and the chip is not virtual for microsoft, then i instal virtual box, but is a nightmare all is complicated
