...know anyone with the following?:

  • Experience of working in a trading support or similar function in a previous position.
  • Good knowledge of exchanges such as Euronext.liffe, NYBOT, The ICE, LME, Eurex etc.
  • Good knowledge of Market Data Vendor systems (Bloomberg, Reuters etc)

Advantageous to have....
MCSE
CCNA / CCNP
Exchange 2003 / 2007
UNIX (Solaris ideal)

£40,000 plus shift allowance plus comprehensive benefits package - Central London

no-one would get out of bed for 40K in central london in that sort of role with the experience you mention. It's a boyant IT market, you need to add 50% to the basic to tempt people in...

Thanks Hoggums, i'm new to recruiting IT Support within trading. I know the IT market is very strong atm, the permanent Development roles I'm working on even outside Banking, FS etc (C#/.NET in particular) are seeing large salary increases.....and the lure of contract rates must be very tempting, despite Gordon's latest interference.

I'll see if the client has budget to offer more.

Edit: They will pay up to £50,000 (DoE) with a 20% shift allowance. They're getting CVs in at this level apparently.
