Took delivery of DX (dollar Index) futures - mistake!

hello all, could someone shed light on how this works. I am taking delivery as i did a massive school boy error of not closing out some DX futures before Mondays expiry!

I was $3100 in profit per contract but this has disappeared from my account. Once i take delivery of the SPOT currency tmrw can i still close this out for a profit or has this mistake cost me dearly?

My broker has informed me that i will receive the equivalent of $84 for the basket of currencies when i bought them at $81.12

Sorry, I hope you find a real answer, I didn't realise DX was physically settled.

it has been worked out by firm. Lots of paper work and basket of currencies dropped in my account.

Other than looking a fool and costs of paper work etc it has been OK. Thanks god it wasn't Live Cattle futures!
