This advice in only for traders who are purely or primarily trading on a technical basis on timeframes lower than the Daily and have not yet found a pattern of trading which yields a profitable edge over time:-
Increase your timeframe by a factor of 4 and look again at your charts using whatever technical setups you currently use on your normal trading timeframe across whatever assets you trade.
What was the reduction in number of trades per asset taken as a percentage of those taken in your normal timeframe?
What was the profit per trade per asset as a percentage of your normal timeframe?
What was the percentage reduction in cost in terms of spread, commission etc per trade per asset compared with your normal timeframe?
The closer you get to the action, the less you can see and the more it costs you.
