Just been reading firewalker99's valedictory post on his now-closed journal thread.
It certainly reinforced something I learned a long time ago in academic circles and have come to realise is so true in trading: - the more you know, the more you realise how much you don't know. For me, it also applies to skill in the market - the better you become, the more you realise how far you have yet to travel. The market is a great humbler and should always be treated with respect. In a former Air Force existence I was told by an old hand to always respect the aircraft I was flying (ie be sensible and stick to tried & tested procedures and rules - no boy racing!) otherwise it would turn round and bite you. How true that was, and how true it is of the markets.
I'm particularly enjoying Trader_Dante's thread over on the First Steps forum - as much for his psychcological approach as his excellent technical lessons - there's a guy who does know what he's talking about.
