Has anyone using IG index for spread betting got firsthand experience of a company they have a position in being taken over via a cash and share takeover? IG index seem to suggest the entire offer is paid in cash and a new position opened in the purchasing companies shares free of charge at a level of zero.
I'm just asking as I wanted to do some risK arbitrage on a take over in order to pocket the cash portion of the offer.
