I'm a novice at the program. Having fiddled with all the basic funcitons of the system I started a little venture in the system tester. Whilst the testing results are comprehensive, is there someway that I can use my system as a live signal generator? I use EOD data imported from ASCII format, thus I have to update it daily. The problem is, the systems that I created, unlike the indicators are seperate from the graph that I view my EOD data. Therefore, the only way to get a buy/sell signal is to run the system from the tester and plot the results on the graph to see whether there's a signal coming up today. I think that's not very intuitive and there must be some live indicator/system to overlay the graph to generate the signals. If not, what happens if I get a live data stream and try trading intraday? I can't keep running the system every 15 minutes to see if I got a signal, which is impratical if I have a few securities on which I'd like to keep an eye out for a signal. Please advise.
