Swing trading the dailies

Hi guys,

Setting up a journal to post my trades, track my progress and maybe get some feedback.

Markets: FX (majors, minors) , commodities (Ags, oil, gas) gold and silver , and SP/dow

Strategy: trend trading , support/resistance , breakouts and candlesticks

Will keep you guys posted

First trade : long USDJPY.

Nice strong engulfing bar closing over support , buy @13447, stop 13350. Target 13730

We will see how price reacts to the resistance lines marked - if it stalls or false breaks I’ll pull the trade

Well that sucked, stopped out for 1R within 10 seconds due to the CPI figures.

Potential setup occurring on AUDUSD- we will see how the bar/day closes, but so far a nice strong engulfing bar closing over the S/R zone at approximately 7000. Be nice to enter on a pullback to that round number , depending how we close today :

Entering two new swing trades:

1- long AUDUSD, for reasons mentioned above , buy limit 7053,stop 6997, target 7193.

2-Short AUDNZD: this is a late re-entry attempt at what looks like a possible triple top (three fakeouts in succession). Sell limit 11000, stop 11140, target 11003

I have entered short silver at 2026: clear downtrend, inside day false break off resistance , stop 2076, target 1925 (2R):

Cancelling these two limits , price moved too far at this point

Taking a trade long on GBPJPY: long 16193,stop 15998, target 16576. This is a re entry attempt at the bullish pin bar off the S/R pivot in a decent uptrend

One of the patterns I really like is, like above , when you get a false break of support, then a re-test , almost like a head and shoulders before the right shoulder forms

Placing a sell limit on silver at 2043, stop 2092, target 1940: downtrend , retrace to resistance and bearish outside bar

Cancelled the silver short and instead shorted gold at 1780.5, for the same reasons but gold is looking better / safer technically , target is 2r (1745), stop 1798

Entering short natural gas @ 9344.4, stop 9989, target 7759 (2R).

Nice fake out of a huge weekly swing point and close below :

Entering short USDSEK- similar setup to natural gas actually, nice faekout of a large weekly swing point , entry 105893,stop 107156, target 2R (103600)

Closing this one for -0.1R, price really just not budging and looks like it’s gunning to probe support again
