1.Why does the S&P500 futures and DJI futures trade nearly 24 hours a day? Is the S&P500 futures actively traded during Asian Hours? (When the US markets close at night)

3. Sometimes the Futures Indices and Spot Indices move in opposite direction. Why is that so? (That makes it so hard to trade) Does the futures alwways provide a direction for the spot indices?
4. Whats the cheapest way to trade the indices? I understand that there are E-minis, but still they are quite expensive for most retailers i guess. Would it be good to trade with Avafx.com, Hymarkets.com, gcitrading.com, finotec.com, fxpro.com, IG Index ? I just wanted to short the DJI, i think it will most likely go to 4000-5000, since the major support at 8000 was broken. (This will be an extreme disaster for the global economy)

Based on my understanding, these companies tend to tweak the prices, (for example, FTSE only broadcast the price every 15 seconds, but there are firms that provide ticks almost continuously) hence making difficult for us to know if our trades are settled correctly.
6. What's the difference between CFD (contracts for difference), Spread Betting and Futures Trading? It seems to me that all of them are similar, becaused it is leveraged and margin is required...Which of these 3 could provide better risk management? Which is the best?
