Stock Reseacrh?

Hello, i'v been looking into stock trading for a while and wanted to know can anyone tell me whats the best way and where to take a look at some stocks with a bit of direction instead of just picking them out of the air at random and was wondering where online can i research stocks to get trade ideas?

Free sites like Digital Look and ADVFN are a good place to start. A novice book like The Naked Trader is also good place to start. Below are some links. Also there's loads of free stuff on this forum if you spend the time looking through the old threads etc. Hope that helps.
