Hi BJ21,
Thanx for the reply. I am suppose to do it next month. Anyway, have you heard of FUTEX? They also provide some futures trading training. I have been invited for an assessment. Back to STA, What is the maths test about? Can you tell me, what kind of financial instruments they trade? Is it FX futures contracts or equity futures or anything else? Cheers.
STA - Maths test; simple mental maths +-[ 2,100] , /*[2-100] and some decimals, the key is to be quick ..... I found it helps to do the questions that bounce out at you and leave the ones you have to think about, but do read the instructions for the questions.
Trade allsorts FX spot, mainly futures indices ....but will put you on bund, bobl low volatilty stuff.
Futex - (1) Maths test again simple stuff, (2) Logic/reasoning IQ stuff, (3) Market knowledge - you should already know this stuff.
again trade everything, but they will put you on a product that suits your trading style best.
STA pay better for training and the training period is not as long .....(less time for you to prove yourself)
Futex will most likely have a lower desk fee being out of the city, but a lower salary for training.
They will both make you sign a contract, 4 years for Futex !!
You must have a good CV .....whats you education/experience like ?
