Hey Guys,
I use a number of trading styles through the day with one of them being scalping. I am based in the United Kingdom. I hear scalping on a US brokerage account for international traders isn't the way to go. As connection time is crucial. They also say to use a wired internet connection, a wired USB mouse, and have a fast DSL connection. Well I am exactly connected like that and have a 8 mbps connection but I get on average about 5-6mbps sustained rate throughout the day. In this situation would it be best to find a broker that is located in Chicago close to the CME?
I hear it's all about ping time, you can get a delay of such from the time you click your mouse and the time it takes to go through the broker to the exchange and that can be detrimental to a scalper. Is this true? Where I read this was on a trading forum from a post that was like 5 years old. I wonder with technology catching up since then if this isn't such a problem anymore?
Any help much appreciated
Many thanks in advance
