short / cover - how to in this system

Can someone point me in the right direction here before we start a February competion?
I have been buying and selling but have wanted to short / cover (which I notice from the latest trades some people are able to do).
However, I cannot see how to do that from the options presented.
Am I missing something (apart from the obvious)?

when you go to make a transaction and you have typed in your company , click on the buy button to change it to short before you get a quote

How did I miss that?
