Reduced Charges at Tradestation

In case anyone is interested who may have considered Tradestation in the past but put off by software costs.

Tradestation securities have just reduced their threashold trading levels at which they waive their software charges. The levels are reduced for all securities types effective from Sept 1st (ie based on volume traded in August) In equities they are now at levels fairly easily met by any serious day trader i.e. 25,000 shares per month. I expect the other product levels are on the website.

I have no affiliation with TS and am not recommending them particualrly but I use them and have just received notification.

same for futures - if you do 50 electronic rounturns on futures contracts, you get the platform for free.

Still have to pay for data of course, but they let you off with the $99 monthly platform subscription
