Hi All
I ve seen a lot of really experienced uk traders here who are in the business for years, understand its structures and conditions perfectly .... I intent to trade in London in the future and I would love to chat also privately about some trading-in-uk related things and share some thoughts with people who are in the business..
I'm trading for a small prop firm (located outside UK) for about 1,5 year now.
Our strategy is limited to calendars - market making, volume targets sort of thing.
Seeing a big list of other propfirms, trading arcades here on trade2win, and knowing the markets I'm trading, I can assume that not too many of those firms trade calendars. I know that for example futex traders, all of them, are trading outright futures now and I have some lack of knowledge here..
how they trade it? are they catching a few ticks with a large clip size a few times a day or they just take position and go with trend ? I don't see the point of hiring new trader (some of london firms recruit some, sometimes) if their style of trading would be taking advantage of volatility. I believe that they could for all those years train enough good traders whose positions are big enough and can increase... do they take advantage of broker and exchange rebates ? are they using some special tools ? It is hard to imagine for me that a 'grad' comes to a firm, he trades a demo account and they give him 10 lots for a good start and after a few weeks say- here you are my friend trade the Bund, and he makes the money ;-)
Thank you for explaining me that...
Best Regards,
