The links shown at the top right hand corner of postings seems to have changed.
There used to be two links shown.
One of these, when copied and pasted elsewhere, could be used to point to just that posting.
The other one (the "permalink"), showed the whole page that the posting appeared on, with that posting at the top of the display.
At some time Monday (13th July 2009) we seem to have lost the first one. I know because I was going through a long thread and copying links to useful postings into a file.
I assume there is some technical reason for this, but I think having both sorts of links available was useful, and what we have now is slightly less useful.
For example, you might want to print off a single posting. That was easily possible with the old system. Now you would end up printing the whole page (probably).
