nyse open book, totalview, etc

Hi all,

Is nyse open book, nasdaq totalview, or any other market depth products actually useful?
Or, is there any similar product out there that is useful for daytrading?
Is there such thing for forex market depth to see institutional limit orders ? I suspect this type of stuff is only available for bank / institutional traders?
