I'm been researching trading for a while and am looking to open a spread betting account. I will start low with about £500. I've decided that I am going to End of Day position trade FTSE 100 companies. What spread betting firms are ideal for someone such as myself? Which ones are more reliable and offer the tighter spreads for end of day FTSE trading? I was thinking IG or Capital Spreads because they seem to be the most well-known and that seems a safer bet to me!
Also I've read/heard a lot that its not a good idea to use the charting that spread betting firms provide, so what cheap charting packages would be suitable bearing in mind I'm only going to be EoD position trading?
