No idea where I can post this question, my financial advisor just stopped responding to me since I emailed him this question.....but besides the MER and Sales Load I am trying to calculate the "hidden costs" of mutual funds. I was wondering if anyone knows what I am talking about and how much can this be or add up to (in terms of an added range I guess).
For example the MER can be about 1.50%. I have heard some other hidden costs (like transaction costs of the fund) can be an extra 1.0-2.0%...???
Also open to hearing from someone with mutual fund investing experience and realized their returns were much worse than expected....
