metastock licensing information

hi,
I have the opportunity to do a barter and trade with a friend and get an unopened, still sealed version of metastock 10.1 EOD. however, I am trying to find out if the installation key (what extends full use of the software past the trial date) is included with the software. I know metastock no longer includes the key to the software WITH the software but instead EMAIL the key to the buyer. does anyone know in what version of metastock the key was no longer provided in the software but instead emailed to the buyer? or, does anyone know specifically if version 10 EOD has the full activation key included with the software? my friend can't remember if he was emailed an activation key or not. I know in version 11 EOD the activation key is email to the buyer and not included in the software.

I did find for you the instructions for metastock v10 activation, have not found this info on the equis/metastock website, but it looks reproduced and available on a german forum.

have a read and you may be able to work out what is going on, but I believe your friend was indeed given the licence code when he bought the software, if he no longer has or has access to his order conformation email a. call him a fool. b. walk away from the deal.
